My Friendship Dilemma Essay - 1027 Words

In High School, I participated in a program called Health Academy since my Freshman year. When you are in the Health Academy you stay with the same thirty-six teenagers throughout all four years of high school. By the time our junior year came around, most of us had been together for three years straight. We were bonded. We were a pretty strong team and we had each other’s backs. My friendship dilemma happened towards the end of our junior year. Of course, we were all pushing ourselves pretty hard in order to be ready for college. We were feeling the pressure to perform. Most of us were tired and started to burn out, especially in our English 11 class. In this situation, I had to choose between my friendship with one of our team†¦show more content†¦Then I read a comment from one person who said that she already took a screenshot and told us all she would probably turn us all in. I was really worried that Ms. Kinney, our English teacher would think that I was involved. I knew no matter what someone would get into trouble. I text and called several people from our group chat. I talked to one girl for almost two hours. I was shaking and nervous. I wasn’t sure exactly what the right thing to do was I just knew that I didn’t want to lose all that I had gained in the past three years. Basically, all of my classmates were freaking out so we all had to text each other and see if we were going to turn in our friend. I was hoping that Ms. Kinney would understand if I came out and told her directly what happened. My relationship with her was really good because this was my third year in her English class. Some of us spent lunch in her room so we could eat, do homework, get extra help, or just hang out. Ms. Kinney and I finally got over my hatred of the Jane Schaffer format and I felt like we really respected each other. I had finally decided what I had to do. When I started to write the email, my mom walked in at that moment. I stopped and asked my mom what she thought I should do.
